The interior materials create a duality between 'cool' (stainless steel, German silver, aluminium leaf, hammered cold steel, etched glass and glass block, mirror) and 'warm' (maple flooring and cabinets, earth-toned granite details, special painted finishes). Several cherished remnants from before the fire are used prominently in the new home. These include glass block used in the dining room and several vintage light fixtures.
